Artist Statement
My artistic journey is an exploration of humanity's intricacies, channeled through interactive kinetic jewelry. I blend my fascination with the human body and my belief in jewelry's transformative power, creating pieces that transcend norms and weave personal narratives. Each creation becomes a vessel, inviting wearers to engage actively with their stories. In pursuit of my MFA, I aim to redefine kinetic jewelry, infusing it with passion, technical mastery, and a deep understanding of the human experience.
About Yaling Wang
Yaling, a visionary jewelry designer, finds inspiration in the human body and the essence of humanity. Pursuing an MFA in jewelry design at Savannah College of Art and Design, she earned her BFA from Beijing Institute of Fashion and exchanged at Central Saint Martins. Her multifaceted perspective, honed at The Middle School Affiliated to the National Academy of Chinese Theatre Arts, enriches her creations. With a transformative internship at Cosmopolitan China (fashion magazine), Yaling merges art and fashion, redefining kinetic jewelry boundaries.
